It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing at home surrounded by his family, on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the age of 91 years. Son of the late Jules Morin and Imelda (née Carrière) Morin. Beloved husband of Gisèle Morin of 73 years. Loving father to Gerald (Bernadette), Lise (J.P), Madeleine (Jim), Carole (Roger), Joane and Alain (Simone). Predeceased by his children Mario and Francine. Beloved grandfather of 13 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren. Survived by brother Jean-Claude (Denise) and by sisters Louisette, Pierette (Claude) and Micheline. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank nurse Joanne and the entire hospice staff. Mirel loved the outdoors, especially his camp on Daoust lake. He enjoyed music and playing cards with his family. Though he wasn’t a man of many words, his smile said he enjoyed the company. A funeral mass will take place at the St-Joseph Church, Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. Due to the pandemic, there will be a limit to 100 persons in church and masks are mandatory. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
