With sorrow the family announces the unexpected death of Patrick at his residence on September 14, 2020 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband to Colleen Scanlan. Loving father to James Morin (Josée) of Verner and Michael Morin (Jasmine) of London. Cherished poppa to Brandon Rose, Justin Rose, Ryan Morin and Alexa Morin. Beloved step-father to Ashley and Jacob Macdonald. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Yvon and Madeleine (nee Levesque) Morin. He is survived by his siblings Suzanne Yasinowski (Ken), Jean-Pierre Morin (Gisele Lamy), Lynn Skillings (David), and Jacqueline Proud (Brett). Missed dearly by his 2 nieces Jennifer Agrey-Gardner and Amy Morin, and his 3 nephews Paul Morin, Dustin Skillings and Keaton Proud. Cherished “Captain Pat” to Jonas and Liam Denomme, Oliver and Rose Duquette and Hale and Neve Scanlan. was well regarded by all who had the privilege of knowing him as a kind and gentle soul. His passion for sailing was only eclipsed by the love he had for his family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home in Sturgeon Falls (123 Railway Street) on Friday September 18, 2020 from 6pm to 9pm, and on Saturday September 19, 2020 from 11am to 1:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (45 John St, Sturgeon Falls) on Saturday September 19, 2020 at 2pm. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society are suggested and would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
In accordance with current directives from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario regarding COVID 19 (https://thebao.ca/registrars-directive-changes-to-funeral-and-visitation-attendance/) the total number of attendees is limited, and additional precautions are in place.
