MYCHALKIW, Toma (Thomas) - In loving memory of Toma Mychalkiw, 84 years, who passed away on Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at the SRH - St. Joseph's Health Center. Toma was born in Hlynki, Ukraine and married Olha (Valentine) in 1956 in Montreal. Toma came to Sudbury in 1948 from Montreal. He was a catrell operator at the Copper Cliff Smelter having 37 years service at INCO retiring in 1985. Toma was a very active member of St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian. Greek Orthodox Church having served as the church treasurer for many years. Toma was devoted to his loving family. Beloved husband of Olha (Valentine) Mychalkiw. Father of Christina and Michael. Cherished grandfather of Jordan and Nathaniel. Dear son of Michael and Parania (Bailak) Mychalkiw predeceased. Dear brother of Theodosia Lukash, Ivan and Wasyl Mychalkiw all predeceased; survived by Halya Bryhar. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church, 190 Baker St. Sudbury on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 at 9:30 am. Interment in St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Cemetery, Oakville. Panakhyda 7 pm Tuesday. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Volodymyr's Church, Sudbury would be appreciated. (Friends may call 6-9 pm Tuesday).
