NAHWEGEZHIC, Lena, Beatrice ( nee Simpson) - It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing away, peacefully of Lena B. Nahwegezhic (age 82), Sunday August 9th, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved spouse of the late Eli, loving mother of Donna, Marlene, Albert and Leah. Cherished grandmother of Pamela, Carol-Ann, the late Mary, Rodney, Gabriel, the late Gavin and Aaron. Great grandmmother of Amanda, Santana, Joshua, Skylar, Daniel, Kyle, Michael, Mathew, Tiffaney, Rodney Jr., Jade, Nimkiins (little Thunder). This wonderful lady is also the great grandmother of Alexius, Jerry Jr., Jade and Layla. Lena is survived by her two sisters, Agnes and Jenny. Born and raised in this area. Lena will truly be missed by numerous friends and relatives. Friends may call at the Band Hall in Cutler First Nation, Tuesday August 11th from 10:00 a.m. till service time Wednesday August 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Highway Church in Cutler.
