After a short illness, Jennifer died on her 58th birthday, Saturday, July 11th. She passed peacefully at her home in Prince George, BC, with her partner, Randy Pawluk, and her ex-husband, Dan Neubeck, at her side.
Jennifer is survived by three independent and spirited children, Joanna (Blaine Smit) of Telkwa, BC, Terry (Amber Beattie) of Victoria, BC and M’Liz of Hamilton, ON, as well as her mother, Kathleen Gaffney of Sudbury, and five siblings, Jim (Cindy Baird), Colleen, M’Liz (Bruce Westaway), Paula (Bruce MacKay) and Brian (Heather Remington). She was predeceased by her father, Terence Gaffney, in 2018.
Born in Laurium, Michigan, and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Jennifer spent most of her adult life in British Columbia, between Prince George, Telkwa, Revelstoke and White Rock. She was a generous hostess, an inspired and prolific cook, a personal support worker dedicated to her clients, and a devoted friend. Jennifer delighted in staying connected with friends and relatives, and her loss will be felt far and wide.
A private celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held soon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prince George Hospice Society, or your local hospice, are appreciated.
