Beloved husband of Daisy (Baker) Nickerson predeceased 2006. Loving father of Douglas Nickerson (Renate), William Nickerson (Tracey), John Nickerson (Anita), Beverly Nickerson (Shawn), Terry Lynn Nickerson, Cynthia Nickerson (Filippe). Cherished grandfather of Crystal, John Jr., Douglas Jr., Marianne, Olivia, Isabella, Grace, and Maria, and great grandchildren Mila and Louis.
Doug was a retired welder, having worked across Canada. Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Doug settled in Markstay in 2008. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and painting. In lieu of flower donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. At the family’s request there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
