Nodecker, Darrin (1979-2023)
Surrounded by family and friends, Darrin passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Mindemoya Hospital in his 45th year, after a long-fought battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Paulie. Cherished father of sons, Avery and Kyle. Also survived by his parents, Ken and Heather Nodecker; brother Andrew Nodecker of Kagawong; sister, Christina McLeod of Mississauga; father in-law, Leonard Doucette, mother-in-law, Lynn Doucette (predeceased), brother in-law Andy Doucette, nieces, Ayriell and Alexis and nephews Carson, and Carter.
Darrin loved everything Manitoulin Island had to offer. He enjoyed spending summers golfing and fishing with his boys at the airport. Hunting, gardening and just being outdoors. Darrin loved his family deeply, his greatest pleasure was spending time with them and cheering his boys on at their hockey games.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 5, 2023 at the Boat Launch at the Gore Bay Manitoulin Airport with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Gore Bay Fish and Game Club or a charity of choice as an expression of sympathy.
