OSHKABEWISENS, Rose Veronica (nee Marshall) - In loving memory of Rose Veronica Oshkabewisens (nee Marshall), 81 years, who passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Monday, June 15th, 2009. Loving wife of Joseph (predeceased). Beloved daughter of Annie (nee Michaud) and Louis Marshall. Loving mother of Marianne, Roberta Martin (Hector), Gloria McGregor (Ron), Grant (Jean) and Neil (Joanna). Special mother of Francine Mendoshkin, John Laford, Peggy and Lorraine and Barry Kewaquom, Debbie and May Recollet and Maryann Endanawas. Dear sister of Grant Marshall (predeceased), Agnes McConaghy (predeceased) and special sister of Jake Noganosh. Rose was born and raised in Britt and Parry Island. She married Joseph on January 11th, 1951 in Wikwemikong. She will be remembered as a gentle and loving mother, not only to her children but to many other children who came into her care by being a foster care provider. She loved cooking, baking, sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed taking little trips and outings with family and friends. Currently resting at St. Ignatius Church in Buzwah (Manitoulin Island). Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Mission in Wikwemikong on Friday, June 19th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
