PAVAN, Flavio Florindo - In loving memory of Flavio Florindo Pavan, 76 years, who passed away on Friday, March 5th, 2010 at the SRH-Laurentian Site surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Grasiella Riccio Pavan. Loving father of Anna, Laura and Enzo, all of Sudbury. Loving grandfather and proud “Nonno“ to his cherished grandchildren Katharin and Austin. Flavio was born in Morgano, Treviso, Italy on September 22nd, 1933. He is the son of Ernesto and Maria Sarto Pavan, both predeceased. Dear brother of Angelina (Spezzia Celistino, predeceased), Lina (Vicenzo Brianese), Elsa (Giovanni Roboni, predeceased), Fedelia (Oscar Cugola) all of Milano, Guerrino (Affra), Gemma (Mario Pretotto), Luigi (Grasiella) of Treviso, and Irene (Paulo DiFranceschi) of Padava, Italy. Dear brother in law to Nina Verrilli (Remo, predeceased), Fedele and Carla Riccio of Sudbury, and Antonitta (Michele Del Vecchio, predeceased) of Venezuela. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Flavio immigrated to Canada in 1951 and was employed shortly after with INCO where he retired after thirty eight years of service. He was a Lifetime member of the Caruso Club and a member of the Caruso Club Choir and the St. Andrew the Apostle Church Choir, Flavio was always welcoming and loved to be in the company of others. He was an accomplished “tradesman“ who enjoyed many hobbies including his passion for mechanics, making wine, and gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. As a husband, father, and friend Flavio has inspired so many, his will, his determination and his unending courage will live on in our hearts. We love you and we miss you! Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Rd. Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 at 10am. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9pm Monday).
