In loving memory of Doris Penny (nee Dixon) 86 years. Passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Sunday, November 22rd, 2020.
Beloved wife of Arthur Charles Penny predeceased. Loving mother of Mervin (Sue) of Sault Ste Marie, Dennis of Sudbury, Brian (Wendy) of Markham, and Raymond (Rhonda) of Sudbury. She will be deeply missed by her 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren who she adored and brought her great joy. Predeceased by her parents William & Ethel Dixon and her brother George. She is survived by her older sister Ethel Penny, as well as nieces, nephews, family and her friends at Finlandia Village where Doris was a long-time resident. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Finlandia Village for their care and compassion over the years.
Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch Street, Sudbury) Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at 11:30 am. Friends may gather at the funeral home Saturday after 9:30 am. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic directives, 50 people or fewer are permitted in the visitation room, and 80 or fewer in the chapel.
