The family announces with heavy hearts the peaceful passing of Dave (David) Lorenzo Pilotte on Tuesday March 15th, 2022, at the age of 70 with family by his side while residing at the Sudbury Falconbridge Extendicare. Beloved husband to and love of his life Lynn (née Bigras), devoted and loving father of Nikki (Pete) Pilotte, Roger (Niki) Pilotte and Mike (Cindy) Pilotte. Proud father-in-law of Marc Branning. Caring “Grampa” of Bradley, Alex, Deven, Scott, Kylee, Katie, Carter, Tessa, and special addition Brayden. Son of Phillias and Odena (née Martin) Pilotte. Dear brother of Rene, Leo (Katherine), Lorraine (Art), Joanne, Linda (Ken) and predeceased by Leonard, Simone, and Armand. Dave battled his long-term Cadasil illness with great strength and dignity. His inabilities to walk and talk didn’t prevent him from continuing to enjoy all of the things he loved in life. His love for food, family time, fishing/camping, playing cards, and music only increased. Dave practiced as an electrician and worked at Neelon Casting for 17 years and retired from Falconbridge Ltd. after 3 years. In is younger years, Dave was an avid athlete and looked forward to his track and field competitions. As a dedicated father, he proudly supported and coached his children's sport teams, such as hockey and bowling. He also loved his time out playing darts, golfing, curling, baseball, and softball. And topped it all off with playing his electric and acoustic guitars. The family would like to thank the Falconbridge Extendicare and the 4th floor for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury.
