PITZNER, Earl - In loving memory of Earl Pitzner, 78 years, who passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site, on Saturday, July 4th, 2009. Beloved husband of Mildred (nee Munroe), predeceased February 8th, 2009. Loving father of Wayne (wife Sandra) of Pembroke, Gail (husband Marcel Garneau) of Sudbury and Barry of Val Caron. Cherished grandfather of Paul Pitzner (wife Tanya) of Airdrie, Alberta, Jennifer Laporte (husband Vince) of Petawawa and Mathiew Garneau of Sudbury and great-grandfather of Jayce, Brock and Breelyn Laporte. Dear brother of Helen Sack (late husband Edward) of Pembroke. Loving brother-in-law of Mable (husband Max McCaig) of Thessalon, Alice (late husband Howard Bolton) of Bruce Mines, Kaye (husband Bill Black) of Sault Ste. Marie, Jean (late husband Bob Clarke) of Sudbury, Richard of Sudbury, Elsie (husband Carl Johnston) of Thessalon and the late Phyllis, Frances, Bernice, Lila (late husband Alfred Bouchard) and Mary (late husband Weldon Ashick), all predeceased. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Earl was born in Pembroke on December 14th, 1930, the son of Paul and Amanda (both deceased). He came to Sudbury in 1950 and for 33 years, he worked as a miner at INCO. During his healthier years, he enjoyed hunting and time spent at the camp on Lake Huron. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at the Civic Cemetery.
