In loving memory of Anton Plosinjak who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Friday, January 21, 2022 at the young age of 93. He is survived by his wife Anna, sons Vladimir, John (Michelle) and Stan (Lynda), daughters Barbara (Frank) and Anne (Andrew), grandchildren Mark, Kristen, Katerina, Madison, Brodie, Greg and Niki and great-grandchild Karlo.  Predeceased by his first wife Danica, son John and brothers Alojz and Karl.

A loving and devoted father and “stari ata” to his grandchildren, he worked hard to support his family and the Croatian community in Sudbury. His passion was spending long hours nurturing his garden, sharing its bountiful harvest and his horticultural knowledge with all. He enjoyed the simple things in life and derived the greatest pleasure from helping and being with friends and family.  He was a role model for all.  He faced life’s challenges with graciousness fortitude and great faith.   Ever practical, he considered death and disease to be problems and everything else as inconveniences.

At Anton’s request, there will be no funeral visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sveti Marko Croatian Catholic Church are welcomed.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 4:00 pm at Sveti Marko Croatian Catholic Church, 140 Alder St., Sudbury.
