(1925-2022)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, at the age of 96 years in Azilda surrounded by his wife and cherished children.
Beloved husband of 73 years to Rolande Poulin (née Potvin). Loving father of Claude (Patricia), Carmen and Roger (Pamela). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Claude, Chantal, Mathieu, Julie, Daniel, Ashley, and Natasha. As well as by his great grandchildren Eastyn, Cruise, Cassia, and Jacob. Survived by his siblings Marie-Jeanne Methe (late Wilfrid), Gilberte Simard (late Arthur), Maurice (Hélène), Arthur (late Marielle), Cecile Mainville (Roma), Aline Montpellier (Rene), Rollande Mainville (Clement) and Pauline Chiasson (late Walter). Predeceased by siblings Paul (Gracia) and Edmond (Doris). After over 30 years of service at Falconbridge Leo retired in 1985. Leo was above all a family man. He had regular scheduled meetings for coffee with his
brothers and sisters where they loved to reminisce. Léo enjoyed fishing and camping at his favourite spots throughout the summer and during the winter months you could usually find Leo ice fishing or snowmobiling. He loved entertaining and spending time with his grandchildren and was a proud Pepere. He also enjoyed watching wrestling. As his children remember their dad, they see a big kid with a big heart. Above all, Léo looked forward to the Poulin reunion every New Year’s Day where he loved to gather with family and dance the night away. Without a doubt Léo will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
