It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Proulx (née Whalen) on June 17th, 2022, at the age of 78 in Ottawa. Beloved wife of Guy Proulx, predeceased in 2002. Loving daughter of the late Victor and Grace Whalen (née Nault).
She leaves behind, until another day, her children, Linda Dodge (Loring) of McKinney, Texas, and Robert “Bob” Proulx (Nicole) of Sudbury.
Cherished Mimi of Loring Jr. of McKinney, Texas and Kaylin Woods (Anthony), great-grandchildren, Jack and Millie of Austin, Texas. Jennifer Proulx, great-grandchild, Jaxson, and Kristopher Proulx (Chelsea), great-grandchildren, Grace and Elliot, all of Sudbury.
Dear Sister of Ron Whalen (Jacquie) of Sudbury and Diane Whalen (John) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her brother, Norm Whalen (Vickki) of Sudbury.
Affectionately remembered by her nieces and nephews, Norma (George), Michael (Michelle), Paul, and especially by Shelley (Matt) and great-grandnephew, Tyler, with whom she shared a special bond.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
