PUGLIESE, Thomas F. “Tommy“ - In Loving Memory of Thomas “Tommy“ F. Pugliese 88 years. Peacefully Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 at the Elizabeth Center, Val Caron. Beloved husband and loving friend of Rita (Caverly) Pugliese predeceased. Loving father of Terry (wife Lise), Wayne (wife Beverly), Bryan (wife Sharon), Shelley Bradley (husband Paul) and Tracy Watson (husband Glen). Cherished Papa of Sarah, Matthew, Kristi, Joshua, Emily, Codey, Chelsey, Jeffrey, Carly, Kayla, Kurtis, Kevin and three great- grandchildren. Dear son of Stanley and Jenny (Giocondo) Pugliese predeceased. Dear brother of Marg Pugliese, Jean Belec (Victor), Mildred Pugliese predeceased, Vincent Pugliese (Joy). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Coniston, Tommy married Rita Caverly in 1951 in Sudbury. He had an inspired work ethic. He began working as a teenager in his father's General Store in Coniston. Tommy graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in business. A talented musician, he played with many local bands, performing at festivals, events and local clubs. An accomplished accordion player, he taught lessons to many people for several years. He founded the successful business Prom Music in 1949 which continues to be operated by his family. He spent many happy times at the family cottage on Trout Lake where he enjoyed snowmobiling, hiking, gardening and boating. Tommy was a frequent visitor to Las Vegas where he enjoyed playing blackjack as recently as last year. Tommy will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour that he generously shared with all he met. Tommy was devoted to his loving family. He will be missed but never forgotten. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury Funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Road, Sudbury Friday, September 9th, 2011 at 11:30 am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery. Prayers 3pm Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SRH Heart Equipment Fund would be appreciated.
