It is with great sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of Percy Purcell in Sudbury, Ontario at Health Sciences North on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at the age of 83. Son of the late William and Jeanne (née Coulombe) Purcell of Monetville, ON. Dear father of Karen Purcell Astgen, Michelle Hall (Glenn), Rodney Purcell (predeceased), and Russ Purcell (Linda). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Carley Astgen (Darel Vallier), Shannon Hall (Ben Edlington), Evan Purcell, Olivia Hall, and Blake Purcell. Survived by his sisters Frances Austdal (Alec – predeceased), Jeannette Courchesne (Louis), and brothers Bill Purcell (Diane) and Greg Purcell (Sandi – predeceased). Predeceased by sisters Muriel Dinan (Paul), Lois Bell, and by his brother Jim Purcell. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, good friend Mike, PSW Bibianna, and by his extended family at his Noëlville residence. The family would also especially like to thank the nurses, PSWs on the 4th and 7th floor North Tower, Health Sciences North for the great care provided during his stay. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A small gathering and ceremony of family and close friends will take place at the St. David’s Cemetery, Noëlville on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
