In loving memory of Stella Quaiattini (Siwicki) peacefully, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Health Sciences North with family at her side. Beloved wife of Zelio Quaiattini (predeceased). Loving mother of Robert (wife Denise), Michael (wife Lisa) and Peter (wife Nadine). Cherished Baba of Andrea and Jessica. Predeceased by her parents Ksenia Doskocz and Joseph Siwicki and sisters Sylvia (Walter Adair) and Christine (Leo Alho). Sadly missed by loving nieces, nephews and relatives. The love of Stella’s life was her husband Zelio and she passed away exactly 10 years after him.

She was born in O’Donnell, grew up in Copper Cliff and was a long-time resident of the West End. Stella was her own person with an indomitable spirit. She was persistent, determined, unrelenting and always made her opinions known. She worked at Cochrane’s Hardware and the Caruso Club. A member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and a dedicated member of Our Lady of Hope Church and the CWL where she served as a eucharistic minister. Her values were family, faith and integrity. She volunteered at the Inner City Food Bank, Participation House, the CNIB and was a life member of the Caruso Club. She enjoyed a very competitive spirit: bocci ball, curling, golf, cards, and in later in life, picked up pool. She  also enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, reading, traveling, dancing, and gardening, especially her roses. She was a great baker and it made her happy to make chocolate cake with boiled white icing, a favourite of Zelio’s.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury Food Bank or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Thank you to the staff at the Southwind Residence and Health Sciences North, South Tower, 5th Floor for their excellent care. Funeral visitation at Lougheeds Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 4-7pm Friday). Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Street, Sudbury, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
