In loving memory of Jeanne Barbara Racicot (nee Gascon) 76 years. Passed away with her loving family by her side at North Bay Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 10th, 2025.

Beloved wife and soul mate of 56 years to Gerald “Jerry” Racicot predeceased in 2023. Loving, proud and devoted mother of Janice (Jeff), and Lisa (Jerry). Cherished Mémère of Acadia (Brandon), Cohen, Griffin, Keely, Caleb, Karsyn, and Cassidy, and great grandson Everett. Predeceased by her parents Donatien (Don) and Doris Gascon (nee Rosenberg). Dear sister of Roger Gascon (Glenda) both predeceased, and Donna Desjardins (Don).  Sister-in-law of Cecile Laporte (Roland predeceased), Richard Racicot (Aurise), Claudette Tellier (Jean-Yves predeceased), Claire Falls predeceased (John), and Denis Racicot (Linda predeceased) (Sheri Guse), She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Jeanne was born on September 18th, 1948 and grew up in Burwash, Ontario until she met the love of her life, Jerry Racicot and moved to Estaire. Jeanne  spent many happy times living in Estaire, the French River, Nepewassi Lake, North Bay and wintering in Florida. She dedicated her time at home until her daughters reached school age and then began her career working with Ministry of Government Services. Jeanne advanced her career attending college night classes specializing in computers.  After decades of hard and meaningful work she retired to enjoy happy times with loved ones.

Family was at the forefront of Jeanne’s life. Jeanne cherished her time visiting, listening and being with family and friends. She was a great cook and baker who enjoyed hosting large gatherings. Jeanne appreciated spending time on the water whether it be fishing in her paddle boat or going for family pontoon boat rides.    Jeanne loved gardening, knitting, reading and computers. 

Jeanne’s kindness, selflessness and generous nature left a lasting impact to everyone around her. 

A memorial service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street Sudbury, on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Friends may gather at the funeral home after 12 noon am on Wednesday. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed via live stream at
