RAISANEN, Joope - In loving memory of Joope Raisanen, 73 years. Born October 27, 1935 in Reisjarvi, Finland. He passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 at Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian site. Immigrating in 1957 he worked for the railway, as a “bush worker“ and for Inco as a miner for 30 years. He enjoyed working especially carpentry. Beloved husband of Raija Marja Raisanen (nee Myllymaki) of Sudbury. Loving father of Paul (wife Suzy) of South Porcupine. Cherished grandfather of Kristina and Danika of South Porcupine. Dear brother of Kirsti (husband Pentti predeceased), late Vilho (wife Helvi), Helli (husband Erkki), Liisa, Seppo (wife Marja- Leena), Tanja (husband Paavo) and Asko all of Finland. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Finland and Canada. Funeral service will be held at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., Sudbury on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 1pm. Cremation and interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Centre or to the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family. (Friends may call after 12 noon on Thursday)
