It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lyle Redden Sunday, September 24, in his 79th year. Lyle died peacefully with family by his side.
Born October 8, 1944, in Timmins to Guy and Mabel (Woodworth) Redden. Lyle will be missed by his loving wife Sheila (Parker), daughters Leona (Kevin Gravelle) and Kyla (Bryan Las) and grandchildren Karras, Liam, and Jacob. Predeceased by his siblings Vernon, Guy, Verna, Ralph, Karl, and Bruce.
After retiring as a miner from Falconbridge in 2001, Lyle and Sheila enjoyed travelling, family and friendships.
Lyle was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Friendship Lodge 691, and concordant bodies.
He was also an active member of Rameses Shriners, Sudbury Shrine Club, and the Trent Valley Shrine Club. He was a dedicated supporter of the Shrine Hospital System and believed in their mission to change and improve lives. He truly cared about the welfare and well-being of others. His many years of service provided him, and Sheila, with many long-lasting friendships and memories, which will be cherished forever.
Lyle was happiest when spending time with his family, either at home, or at the cottage.
A special thank you to the support team that assisted in Lyle’s care.
He always had a smile on his face and lit up a room with his positive attitude. Lyle was a proud and devoted husband, father, and Papa.
While flowers are always appreciated, the family would be grateful for donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada or charity of your choice.
