The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury on November 5, 2021 at the age of 83 years, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Harold and Pearl Hunt, and sister Ronda Walli. She leaves behind Desmond, her loving husband of 60 years and children Greg and Ann (Denis). Joan shared an extremely close and loving bond with her daughter-in-law Louisa and was a proud Grandma to Alexander and Ari. She will be missed by her sister Lois Walli, brother David Hunt and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan loved a good book, Coronation Street, had a fondness for Poppycock Popcorn, Allsorts licorice and hamburgers.
A private person, Joan has been cremated in accordance with her wishes and will be laid to rest near her parents in Lee Valley Cemetery when weather permits.
We wish to thank Health Sciences North Emergency Department and Fifth Floor South Tower staff as well as the staff at Finlandia Nursing Home for helping Joan when she needed it most.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joan's name to the charity of your own choosing. Cremation services entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
