ROCKWOOD, William “Bill“ - In loving memory of William “Bill“ Rockwood in his 98th year. on Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 at Pioneer Manor. Beloved husband of Isabel Rockwood (nee Jollymore) predeceased. Loving father of Ellen McLaren (Bruce) of Stratford and Gwen Iburg (John) of Sault Ste Marie. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer McLaren (Michael) of Toronto, Saira Hein (Mike) of New York and Peter Iburg (Cindy) of Ottawa and great grandfather of Dylan McLaren, Calvin, Emily and Samuel Iburg. Dear brother of Love Graham, Perry F. Rockwood and June Nayduk all predeceased. Survived by his sisters-in-law Julie Rockwood and Josephine Jollymore. Predeceased by his parents Violet and Mark Rockwood. Bill was a fiercely independent gentleman and lived in his home in Garson until late October of last year. He was dearly loved by his family and respected by all who knew him. The family would like to thank all those involved in Dad's care for the last few years; especially the York Unit staff at Pioneer Manor who gave him kind competent care in the end. Resting at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Garson on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, Garson. Memorial donations to the St. Mark's Anglican Church would be appreciated.
