The family announces with profound sorrow the passing of our mother Gertrude Ross (nee Pinel) at home at the age of 98 on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Predeceased by her husband Albert Ross. Loving mother of Roger, predeceased, John, predeceased (Jeannette), Lorraine, predeceased (Mark Woodliffe), Yvette Smashnuk (Charlie), Noella Desormeaux (Claude), Pauline Perrin (Robert), Normand, Richard and Larry. Proud grandmother of Ronald, Diane, Antoine, predeceased, Angel, Nicole, Ginette, Natalie, predeceased, Julie, Lynne, Russell, Carolyn, Justin, Brian, Shawn, Shelby and MacKenzie. Precious great-grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lucienne, predeceased, Noella, Armand, predeceased, Jeannine, Johnny and Victor. Mom will always be remembered for her strength, compassion and caring personality.
She will always be in the “palm of our hands”.
We would like to thank our sister-in-law Jeannette for taking such good care of our mom all these years.
Gertrude would have liked to have donations to the Canadian Cancer Society as she has lost many close family members to cancer.
As per Gertrude’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
