It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Linda Rudd (ne: Lalonde), 74, of Greater Sudbury, On, announces the unexpected passing of our beloved mother on January 13, 2022.
Mom was born July 3, 1947 in Kirkland Lake, On. Mom lived most of her life in Kirkland Lake and was proud to have made it her home until 3 years ago when she and her loving husband David moved to Sudbury.
More than anything spending time with friends and family was her greatest pleasure. Mom enjoyed her annual vacation in Las Vegas, where she would enjoy the music of the stars. She spent her evenings with Young and the Restless, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, while finishing her crosswords. Every morning she asked alexa to turn on CJKL radio because it made her feel like she was home.
Judy was the daughter of the late Mable Elsie Tonkin (Jim McNulty) and Thomas Lalonde. Judy was predeceased by infant sister Linda and great granddaughter Hayden. Beloved wife and best friend to David Rudd. Loving mother and step-mother to Robert Leveque (Karen), Holly Sullivan (Stephen), Donald Levesque (Stacey), Carrie Thompson (Eugene Ivanov), Julian Rudd (Jenn). Left to mourn are her 13 grandchildren Kyle, Adam (Olivia), Jordan, Tyler, Taigen, Taylor, Kennedy, Logan, Chenessa (Mike), Cheneka, Donald (Amber), Ashton, Taylor and 7 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Eden, Everly, Aiden, Jacob, Kohen, Miyah. Sadly, missed by her sisters and brothers Diane, Heather, Charles, Jim and Torey and sister-in-law Marion. Her loss will be felt by extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the spring of 2022, in Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the COPD foundation which had touched her life. In memory of Mom, hug your loved ones every opportunity you get.
