In loving memory of Jan Rudzinski, age 90 years, who passed away peacefully on Friday , January 21, 2022 at his home, by the side of his loving wife. Beloved husband of 68 years to Barbara Rudzinski (nee Syzmanska). Loving father of Renata Stunt (Bill), Mark (Sherry), and Jan (Grace), Cherished grandfather of Karl, Jamie, Ian (Kaytlin) and Alex (Alisha) Great grand father of Declan and John. Predeceased by his parents Antoni, and Karolina and 7 siblings, Jan a was a hardworking and devoted family man. Born in Poland in a difficult time of the 2nd world war and subsequent occupation. There he met his wife and made his way to Canada in 1959 to start a new life.
Always working hard at various jobs, he eventually started his own successful business to work for himself. Jan could build and fix anything and built his retirement home (Camp) on Trout Lake. There he retired early in 1986 and was a fixture on the lake, always chopping wood, helping neighbours, maintaining the fish pond and watching the birds. The camp became the hub where he always welcomed family and friends. Jan will be missed but will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to the friends of the Trout Lake/Alban community who kindly supported and helped him, as well as the paramedic (Nick), and home/personal care workers who made his life safe and comfortable
There will be no visitation or funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held later this year
