Who passed away at Health Sciences North on February 21st, 2023.
Beloved wife of George Russell (predeceased 2021). Loving mother of Dawn Russell. Cherished daughter of Percival and Irene Pearson (both predeceased). Loving sister of Lorna (predeceased) (Ian). Special sister-in-law of Shonette Haywood (Richard) and Alexander Russell (Emidy). Dear aunt of Sharon, Gayle, Matthew and Alexander. Will be sadly missed by relatives and friends.
Irene was born in Scotland on November 30, 1942, she later met and married George and they immigrated to Canada in 1969 with their daughter Dawn. They settled in Sudbury and Irene worked as an Office Manager with Government Services until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed gardening, reading murder mystery's, travelling and of course going to the casino. The family would like to thank the 7th floor Nurses and PWS's for all the compassionate care at Health Sciences North.
As per her wishes, there will be no funeral visitation or service.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
