SANDER, Anne

In Loving Memory of Anne (Kovac) Sander, 93 years, peacefully going to the Angels, her loving smile and happiness will be missed. Monday, August 31st, 2020 at Extendicare Falconbridge, where she has lived since December 2019. Predeceased by her husband John, daughter Mary Rose, and daughter-in-law Rhonda. Loving mother to Dennis Sander (Amelia), Caroline Sander, Rodney Sander, and John Sander (Rhonda predeceased). Cherished grandmother of Melissa Sander (Serge), Jennifer Sander, Alicia Labelle (Denny), Eric Labelle (Kimberly), and Tyler John Robert Sander. Great grandmother to Connor Venne, Sarah Venne, Zayden Labelle, and predeceased by Joshua Venne. Dear daughter of John and Mary (Pastelak) Kovac both predeceased. Dear sister of John Kovac predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.

Anne came to Sudbury in 1938. She married John Sander in 1948 at Holy Trinity Church. She was devout Roman Catholic at Holy Trinity Church, having been a life member of the parish CWL, serving in many executive positions. She was past-treasurer and president of St. David’s PTA. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. Her cabbage rolls and perogies were legendary. She was devoted to her family. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic directives, 50 people or fewer are permitted in the visitation room, and 80 or fewer in the chapel. Face masks are mandatory.

Interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery.
