In loving memory of Emerson Schofield who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 30, 2022 at the age of 77.

Beloved husband to Marguerite (nee Groulx) for 40 years.  A couple who chose each other every day to walk through this journey of life. They shared a love so pure you could see if from a mile away.

Emerson loved his family immensely; he was caring and witty and instilled the most precious family values that will be carried on through each of his children and grandchildren.

Daughters Tracy Chaumont (Michael), Victoria Vrab (Mark) and son Marc. Wonderful Poppa to Ryan (Lisa), Ashley (Devin), Amanda (Roch), Braeden, Jacob and Reece. Wonderful Super Poppa to Alexis, Olivia, Luke, Alice, Liam, Jack and Levi. Emerson is survived by his siblings Roy Rogers (Brenda) and Sue Graves (Mike) all of Nova Scotia and June Peterson of New Brunswick.

Emerson had a love of life, and his positivity and fun spirit was an inspiration to us all, dancing and singing whenever and where ever the mood would strike which was often. He touched many people and had the ability to make anyone feel like family.  His favourite thing to do was ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his wife riding along beside him. From the Maritime Motorcycle Touring Association to the Southern Cruisers French River SCRC, Chapter 488 they enjoyed many adventures from his hometown in Nova Scotia to Ontario and loved telling their tales. Extended family at Lake Agnew will always remember him singing "Elvira" and who knew he could hit those low notes!

His remaining years he worked at Accutron Instruments for a great friend and boss Gilles Arsenault.  This is where he gained another "family".  His laughter will echo in the halls.  Thank you for all your endless support.

Our family would like to thank friends, neighbors and the great medical team at the Northern Cancer Centre. Special thanks to Ann Desrosiers, "Angel Ann".

A private service will be held at a later date.

Donations in Em’s memory may be made directly to the Northern Cancer Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
