SEGUIN, Hector

(1947 -  2023)

The family of Hector Séguin announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, at the age of 75 years. Son of the late Rodolphe Séguin and of the late Alice Séguin (née Forget). Beloved husband of Denise Séguin (née Chartrand). Dear father of Marc (Tammi), Nicole (Joey) and Paul (Stacey). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Mathieu, Stéphanie, Anik (Utkarsh), Véronique, Vanessa, Zackary, Preston, Ashton, Cayden and Mackenzie. Brother of Lucien (Lucille), Daniel (Lise) and Marie-Lise (late Paul). Predeceased by his sister Denise. Hector was the president of the AEFO as well as a respected teacher at Franco-Cité secondary school for many years.  He was also an active member of multiple local organizations such as Hockey. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital for the excellent care provided.

The Séguin family will welcome friends at the St-Jean Baptiste church, Verner, on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 :00 am. Funeral arrangements in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital would be appreciated.
