Denise Simard (née Brosseau),67, peacefully passed away on January 8th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones after a very short but difficult battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Denise was born on August 15th, 1957 to Jeannette (née Bédard) and Toussaint (predeceased) Brosseau in the town of Warren. Denise was blessed to have many sibling, Rachel Beaudry (Yvon St-Onge), Roger Brosseau (Linda), Réjeanne St-Onge (Gaston), Diane Paquette (Joe predeceased), Richard Brosseau (predeceased) and Laurier Brosseau.
In 1972 Denise met Pierre Simard. They had a special bond from the beginning. Denise and Pierre were married on May 26th, 1973. They built a beautiful life full of love and laughter. It’s in this love that they had two children, Angèle Belisle (née Simard) and Jean-Pierre Simard. Having this love story as an example of what a marriage could be, Angèle married Jr Belisle in 1997 and Jean-Pierre married Lynn Cadieux in 2013. Both children try to live up to the example their parents set.
Denise was very proud to be a grandmother. Her pride and joys, Zach Belisle, Zoé Belisle, Sébastien Simard and Céline Simard brought her happiness and kept her young at heart. These grandchildren are fortunate to have many fond memories of their Memère.
Denise will also be missed greatly by many nieces and nephews as well as her extended Simard family, for whom each and everyone held a special place in her heart.
As per Denise’s wishes, a celebration of life, picnic style, will be held at a later date.
