SIMON, Gilbert - (1929-2011) The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday September 3, 2011, at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Alexandre and of the late Clarita (née Prudhomme) Simon. Dear brother of Henri Simon (Lorraine) and Jean Marie Simon (Colette) both of Warren, Florence Lalonde (late Lorenzo) of Chelmsford and Simone Alberto (Orelio) of Azilda. Predeceased by his brother Rhéal and by his sister Annette Labelle (late Edward). Gilbert lived on the farm with his brother Henri and Lorraine and their 8 children: Suzanne Desbiens (late Normand), Joanne Fortin (Lucien), Normand Simon (Valerie), Rejeanne Giroux (Francois), Rozanne Violette (Claude), Rejean Simon (Madeline), Raymond Simon (Lisa) and Henri Jr. Simon (Julie). He will be greatly missed by many great-nieces and great-nephews. Gilbert will always be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing. He was a trapper for many years, bus driver, farmer, logger and an uncle to everyone. The Simon family will receive friends at the THÉORET BOURGEOIS CENTER, 17 Rutland Street, Warren, Wednesday September 7, 2011 from 9 am until 11 am.
