SKWAREK, Mabel Evelyn Lorraine (Carmichael) - In loving memory of Mabel Evelyn Lorraine (Carmichael) Skwarek, 80 years, who passed away Friday, August 28th, 2009 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. Born in Copper Cliff, she married Ted in Sudbury in 1948. Mabel worked at Kreesges, Woolworths, Woolco and Bonnimart. She was active in her community as a volunteer with M.S., a Girl Guide Leader, Game and Fish Sudbury, the Rock and Lapidary Society and Science North. Mabel was a member of the Anglican faith and active with the Church of the Ascension. She loved animals and kept a special place in her heart for loones. Mabel will be lovingly remembered as a generous and giving woman who was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. Beloved wife of Ted Skwarek predeceased 2004. Loving mother of Larry (Linda) of Sudbury and Rosemarie (Paul Mirfield) of Garson. Cherished grandmother of Lara (Marc), Chloe (Chris) and Nigel (Kaija). Dear daughter of Harold and Mabel (Hall) Carmichael both predeceased. Dear sister of David of Kelowna, Bud of Sudbury, predeceased by Keith. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
