It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Sloan at Extendicare Countryside in Sudbury on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of Art Sloan predeceased in 1982. Special friend of Hugh Thompson predeceased in 2008. Dear sister of Alexander, William, Robert, Beverly, Gail, and Geraldine all predeceased. Survived by her brother John MacDonald. Shirley will be greatly missed by her niece Darlene and many other nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her extended family and friends, especially by her best friend Adrienne Demore (Andy).
She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and generosity to her Westmount neighbours and friends. At Shirley’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with internment alongside her husband in the Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
