SORENSEN, Thorkild (Tom) “The Great Dane“ - (1940-2011). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of “Tom“ Thorkild Sorensen, Saturday, September 3rd, 2011. Darling son of Emma and Thorvald Sorensen (predeceased), loving husband to Karen Sorensen (Wilson), precious father to daughter Kristee Adamson (husband Michael) and son Kory Sorensen (wife Jessica). World's greatest Poppy (grandfather) to Emily, Lindsay and Joshua. Dear brother to Doris Nielson of Denmark and Mona Henrickson (husband Dick) of Nova Scotia. Brother in law to Wayne Wilson (predeceased) wife Stephanie, Joan Barbeau (Aurele predeceased) and Cecil Wilson (wife Yvonne predeceased) friend Joanne Wareham. Beloved uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by wonderful friends, caring neighbours and notable business associates. “What we keep in memory is ours forever. . .“ Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 4-9pm Wednesday only). Funeral Service in St. Peter's United Church, 203 York St., Sudbury, Thursday, September 8th, 2011 at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
