It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Wilson Steadman. Bob passed away peacefully and surrounded by family in Sudbury Ontario at the age of 80 years old. Bob was predeceased by his parents Irene and Bob Steadman, his step mother Alice Steadman, and  his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Fenton Mills.   Bob is survived by his brother Jim Steadman (Rachel), his stepbrother Rev. Bill Mayoros (Mary) and stepsister Barbara Mayoros.  Bob was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bob will be terribly missed by his children Christine (Pierre), Rob (Chantal), Danica (Stephen), their mother Lorraine Steadman, Ron (Viri) and Aviram and their mother Cheryl Lynch. He will forever be remembered by his loving grandchildren Mia, Victoria, Alexa, Olivia, Eve, Tristan, Mick, Regina, Ronaldo, Romina and Sebazious.

Bob was a proud alumnus of Carleton University holding both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work. After long and rewarding careers at Canadore College and USC Canada, Bob enjoyed travelling the world and making new friends all along the way.  From Copper Cliff to Sturgeon Falls, and from Orillia to Ajijic Mexico, his most precious times were spent at a piano surrounded by his friends and loved ones.

Please join us for a celebration of Bob’s Life on Saturday July 23rd from 2pm until 4pm at Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury, 27 Larch Street. An intimate burial service for close friends and family will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday July 23rd at Park Lawn Cemetery where Bob will be laid to rest with his parents. 

Bob’s family sends its heartfelt thank you to the Health Sciences North team. The care and kindness shown to our dad will not soon be forgotten.  If desired, donations to the Health Sciences North Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
