STIPIC, Jozo (Joe) - In loving memory of Jozo (Joe) Stipic, 76 years of age, who passed away peacefully at home on May 21st, 2010. Jozo was born in Letka, Tomislav Grad, Bosna i Hercegovina in 1933. He immigrated to Canada in 1959 to begin a new life and then brought his beloved wife, Kata (Bokanovic) Stipic to Sudbury in 1965. Leaving to cherish his memory are his children Rosie Graffi (husband Dan) of Sudbury, Tim (wife Maria) of Mississauga and Tina Beljo (husband Frank) of Mississauga. Cherished “Dida“ of Ivan, Daniel, Adriana, Natalia, Amanda, Marissa, Niko, Juliana and Lukas. Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Ruza Stipic. Dear brother of Ilija (wife Anda), Ivan (wife Ruza), Anda (Ilija predeceased), Iva Papic (predeceased) (husband Jozo). Dear brother-in-law of Mara Bubalo (husband Srecko), Luca Bokanovic and Jozo Bokanovic (wife Iva). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Croatia and Bosna i Hercegovina. Jozo was a dedicated INCO employee, retiring in 1994. In retirement, he enjoyed his daily long walks, working in his garden, winemaking and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. He was always generous and loved to share his hospitality with everyone, offering food, wine or just good company. “Tata“ instilled in us the ethic of hard work and the importance of family. He will be sadly missed and his memory will be cherished forever. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury Funeral Mass In Sveti Marko Croatian Catholic Church 140 Alder St., Sudbury Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 at 10am. Prayers 7:30pm Tuesday. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9pm Tuesday).
