STOAKLEY, Mina - In Loving Memory of Mina Stoakley. June 10, 1920 - August 15, 2009. Mina Stoakley, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, and formerly of Mindemoya and Providence Bay, died at the Lodge on Saturday, at the age of 90 years. She was born at Evansville, daughter of the late Tobias and Nancy (Robinson) Liscumb. Mina was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Providence Bay, the Providence Bay Senior Citizens and enjoyed reading and baking and was an avid quilter and enjoyed visiting with neighbours and friends. Mina will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Mina was predeceased by her beloved husband Edgar Wallace Stoakley in December 1991. Loving and loved mother of Sheila and husband Maurice Barbe of Hillsdale, Patricia Ann Stoakley of North Bay and Lloyd James Stoakley of Sudbury. Proud grandmother of Donna, Lori and Karen and great grandchildren Tyler, Emily, Kurtis, Kelsey and Kendra. Also survived by sisters in law Catherine Liscumb of Gore Bay and Lillian Liscumb of Oakville. Predeceased by her siblings, Melvin Liscumb, Elsworth Liscumb, Violet Pearson, Harry Liscumb, Verna Patterson and Ernie Liscumb. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the CULGIN FUNERAL HOME, Gore Bay on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11.00 a.m. with Mr. Lyle Dewar officiating. Interment in Providence Bay Cemetery.
