passed away early on September 1, 2022 at Health Sciences North. He was 92.

Born in Toronto on May 19, 1930, Norm moved up to Sudbury with his first wife, Joan, in the 1950s to practice at the firm of Facer, Shea and Mossop after graduating from University of Toronto Law School. He later established his own thriving law practice in Sudbury and retired just seven years ago from Desmarais, Keenan in Sudbury. He is survived by his three children Ann Stoner (Bill) of Burlington, Rob Stoner (Molly) of Boston, and Kathryn Stoner (Paul) of Palo Alto, California, seven grandchildren (Isaac Stoner, Lily Stoner, Rosie Stoner, Patrick Wodhams, Scott Wodhams, Adam Weiss and Abby Weiss), one great grandchild, (Beckham Stoner), and dear friends Dan and Memma Grottoli.

Norm was known for his sharp wit, great sense of humor, and devotion to the practice of law. He had high professional standards, and held his children to high standards too, for which we are all eternally grateful. He was a model of perseverance and resilience in all that he did. Although he loved his work and family, Norm was never happier than when bustling around his cottage on the French River in his later years, with his golden retrievers constantly at his side. His family will celebrate his life at a private memorial. (Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes)
