Wally Stukaylo, resident of Sudbury, Ontario, died suddenly, at age 66, on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Health Sciences North. This community is where he had been raised, and gone to schools, and where he had spent a big part of his adult life. Wally was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on March 9, 1955, with Mabel Stukaylo (Saley) and Walter Stukaylo his parents. Surviving him is his wife and dear friend Marilyn Rayner. He will be fondly missed and remembered by his aunts Sophie Fehr (husband Henry) and Anne Mole. Marilyn’s children, the Petryna clan, Chris (Ashley), Rob (Ashley), Brittany (Dave), and Michael Jr. mourn the passing of Wally as do Marilyn’s mother Glennys McGibbon and sisters and families; Sharon Gilchrist (Bob), Brenda Leet (John), Patricia Holmes (Wally), and Jody Maechtel (Andrew). Many attributes describe Wally. He was a good man with a big heart. He was an independent and innovative thinker, sometimes stubbornly so. He could be generous to a fault, ever quick to help out a friend or client. Hospitality was in his blood and came naturally to him. Favourite pastimes with Marilyn included camping with campfires, being on the water, and gardening. All who knew him knew him to be a meticulous shopper and super deal finder. He was a good and adventurous cook – often sourcing special ingredients himself even if it involved fishing & then smoking the fish. There will be no memorial service at this time. Remember Wally by raising a glass to his memory when the spirit moves you. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
