In loving memory of Derek Carl Sutherland who passed away from heart disease on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the age of 52. Beloved son of Carl and Ritva, and brother of Krista. Sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as family dogs Lola and Cooper. When he was younger, Derek enjoyed skydiving, rock and ice climbing, scuba diving, wilderness survival, and travelling. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces and was deployed on two U.N. Peacekeeping tours to Golan Heights and Bosnia. Forever in our hearts. There will be no funeral visitation or service.
