March 18, 1983 – January 6, 2021

The family of Sean Timonen is saddened to announce his passing on January 6, 2021 in Sudbury, ON. A life full of promise and opportunity was cut short at the young age of 37. Sean had a smile that would light up a room and a sense of humour that would make anyone laugh. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing and watching basketball. He truly lived life to the fullest. He had a big heart and genuinely cared, loved, and appreciated every person in his life. He was very intelligent, had a strong work ethic, and was passionate and outspoken in what he believed in. Following in the footsteps of his father, Sean was an electrician by trade with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers which provided him the opportunity to work in various places across the province and meet many different people along the way. He is now reunited with his mummu Lydia Juhola, his parents Osmo John Timonen and Debbie Kennedy, and his brother Patrick Timonen. Sean leaves behind Brooke Legault and their daughter Lydia Timonen as well as Lydia’s grandmother Victoria Legault. He is also survived by his young daughter Kourtney Timonen. Forever remembered by his brothers Jeff Peacock, Adam Timonen, Justin Lafond and Marc Benoit; his niece Hanna Timonen; his sister-in-law Cindy Rocca; and close family friend Aino Laamanen. The family would like to sincerely thank Sean’s special friend Laura Johnson whose unwavering commitment to stay by his side when Sean needed it the most will forever be appreciated. Our broken hearts will feel the loss of our Sean forever. May he finally rest in eternal peace. Cremation has taken place. A burial and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when provincial restrictions allow. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
