Dear daughter of Enrico and Rosina (Pierelli) Grottoli both predeceased. Ada Tomini was the beloved wife of Eligio (Leo) (deceased 2019). Loving mother of Dennis (Valerie), Lenard (Diane), Janie (Andy predeceased) and David (Cynthia). Most cherished nona of Stephen (Krista), Adria (Erik), Michael (Natalie), Peter, Chris (Tara), Bradley (Marnie), Jeffrey (Paule), Ryan, Sarah, Emmalie (Matthew) and Adam (Emily). Bis Nona / Super Nona to Luke, Liam, Felicity, Julia, Peter, Harlan, Isla and Hudson.  Ada was predeceased by her son in law Peter Pagnutti, and daughter in law Lillian Tomini. Ada was born in Sudbury and was the youngest sister to Oddie, Emilia, Gina, Joseph, Louis, Mary (Tony), Argia (Mel) (all predeceased) and Armelina (Mike). Ada is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Ada and Leo were married in 1951 and together raised their children while operating their store, Tomini Grapes and Food Market.  Ada loved to garden and cook and always had a fridge full of food.  She was instrumental in bringing her family together every week with her famous Sunday spaghetti lunches.  Ada was happiest surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, dogs and cats, sharing her homemade pasta and a glass of wine.

Special thanks to the support staff of Bayshore and Sudbury palliative and hospice care. Their daily guidance and support allowed Ada to fulfil her wish to spend her last days at home with her daughter and her cat, Molly. There are many caregivers who have truly become a part of the family during this time. We thank you. Thanks as well, to Ada’s neighbors, The MacIsaac’s for their continued support.

Dennis, Lenard and David would like to thank their sister Janie for the tremendous care, love and dedication she gave to mom. In mom’s own words…” This last year and a half has been better than Christmas.”
