Surrounded by loved ones, and friends of the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Jackie lost her battle with cancer. It is with great sadness we announce her passing. Beloved daughter to the late Alice Slaunwhite of N.S. and late George Jasper of England. Dear sister to the late Jean Amelia Jasper. Devoted wife to Harold “Herbert” Tooker. Devoted and loving mother to the late Caroline Jean Tooker, Juanita Tooker (Anne), Silence Guitard (Terry) and Lillian Donato (Gino). Cherished grandmother to Natasha, Nikolas and Livea. Special Gigi to great-granddaughter Arya. Dear daughter to the late John Devoe, and cherished sister to Cathy (Ansel), late Jeanette (Russ), late Bernice (late Vernon), Marion, late Diane (late Frances), and Barbara. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in N.S. and N.B., where we know her heart lay, and her story began. We won’t again feel her touch, but in our hearts she will always remain. Sincere thanks to all of the special people at the hospice who cared for Mom in her last weeks. Thank you to Nurse Julie who came to Moms’ home, and was our connection to the system during a time we felt helpless.  Thanks to Dr. Centis, Bayshore Homecare and NELHIN for your support. Thank you to the those at the Cancer Center for your brief but helpful intervention as well. If you would like, a donation can be made by cheque or online to the Maison McCulloch Hospice in honour of Jaqueline’s memory. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Wednesday, September 2, 2020 after 6 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 7 p.m. Due the current pandemic, there is a limit on the number of people attending.
