18-year-old charged with first-degree murder in fatal shooting in Toronto

Toronto police say they've charged an 18-year-old man with first-degree murder in relation to a shooting last month.

They say the incident happened August 12 in the city's east end, when a 45-year-old man identified as John Wheeler was shot.

Wheeler died in hospital.

Police say they have arrested and charged Christopher Mitchell.

Homicide investigators say they believe two other people were with Mitchell at the time of the shooting.

They're asking anyone with more information about the incident to come forward.
