94-year-old Wallaceburg, Ont., man facing second-degree murder charge

WALLACEBURG, Ont. — Police say a 94-year-old man from Wallaceburg, Ont., has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Officers were called to a home early Saturday morning where they found an 89-year-old woman without vital signs.

Police say the woman was pronounced dead at the home.

They say her 94-year-old husband was charged with second-degree murder.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service says there is no threat to public safety because this was an isolated incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
