Driver facing charges after car hits train east of London, Ont.

A 47-year-old driver has been charged after a vehicle struck a train near London, Ont.

Police say the collision took place just before 7 p.m. Sunday night in Thames Centre, Ont.

They say the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police say the driver was alone in the car.

The driver is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving and disobeying a railway crossing signal.
