Man charged in alleged sexual assault on woman in her 80s

A 38-year-old man has been charged after police in Niagara Region allege he sexually assaulted a woman in her 80s.

Police say the investigation began last month after a woman reported an incident involving a man she met through the dating app Zoosk.

Investigators say the man identified himself on the app as a 77-year-old man named Hag.

Police allege the man sexually assaulted the woman when they met in person.

Investigators say the accused was arrested Friday in Niagara Falls, Ont., and charged with sexual assault, failing to comply with probation and obstruction of justice.

Investigators say the suspect also used the same username on another dating app, Our Time.
