Man charged with second-degree murder in fatal fire at Toronto apartment

TORONTO — A man has been charged in a fatal fire in the laundry room of a Toronto apartment building.

Toronto police say they were called to a fire in midtown on Thursday.

They say a man was found with obvious injuries and pronounced dead.

Investigators say they arrested a suspect on Friday.

A 27-year-old man from Toronto is facing a second-degree murder charge.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday morning.
