Man dead, another in hospital after stabbing in Mississauga, Ont., parking lot

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Police west of Toronto say a man has died after being stabbed in a parking lot outside a banquet hall.

Peel Regional Police Const. Mandeep Khatra says officers were called to the lot beside the Mississauga Grand Hospitality Centre at 2:25 a.m. Monday.

Khatra says officers found two men with traumatic injuries.

He says officers began CPR on one man, but he was soon pronounced dead.

Khatra says another man is in hospital, but is expected to live.

He says the suspect or suspects took off before police arrived.
